Threading shapes the brow with a twisted cotton thread rather than wax, so it lifts the hair without pulling at the skin. It takes a line at a time, which is why the edges come out crisp and why it suits skin that reacts badly to waxing.

What is eyebrow threading and how does it work?

Eyebrow threading is a chemical-free hair removal technique that uses a twisted cotton thread rolled along the skin to lift hair out at the root, a line at a time. That is why the edges of a threaded brow come out so exact.

Unlike waxing, threading does not grip and peel the surface of the skin, which makes it suitable for sensitive skin and for anyone using retinol, tretinoin or chemical exfoliants. Brows are usually finished in under fifteen minutes; a full face takes around half an hour.
