Color is the longest appointment in the salon and the one where the price moves most: how much hair you have, how light you are going and how many rounds of lightener it takes all change the work. Every color price on the menu is a starting price, and you get a firm quote at the chair before the first section is sectioned off.
Balayage and ombré are painted by hand, so the grow-out stays soft and you can leave it longer between visits. Foils give a more even, all-over lift; cap highlights are the quickest way to break up flat color. Gray coverage is a single-process color.

What is balayage, and how is it different from highlights?
Balayage is lightener painted on by hand, sweeping down the hair rather than saturating it from the root, so the lighter pieces sit where the sun would put them and the grow-out stays soft. Ombré is the same idea taken further, with the ends noticeably lighter than the top.
Foil highlights work section by section and give a more even, all-over lift; cap highlights are the quickest way to break up flat colour. A single-process hair colouring covers grey or changes your overall shade in one application.
